Weekly Schedule for youth (7th-12th grade):
Sunday School, 9:15-10:15am
Youth group on Wednesdays, 6:30-8:00pm
In his first letter to Timothy, Paul says “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.” (1 Tim 4:12) What a great challenge and awesome responsibility that is for young people in the church, as well as a constant reminder to be more like Christ each day in our thoughts, attitudes, and actions. Our desire for the Grace Church youth group is that we truly love God and serve Him with all of our hearts, minds and strength (Mk 10:30) as we grow and develop into the young men and women He wants us to be.
Sunday School for Youth
Each Sunday morning the youth (grades 7-12) at Grace Church gather at 9:15 for an equipping hour where we focus on various topics that are important to young people. We seek to know the excellencies of God that are ultimately displayed in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Then we seek to understand ourselves and the world around us in light of God's great gospel.
Recent topics include Worldview, History of Redemption, Systematic Theology, Jonah, and Romans
Wednesday Night Youth Group (7th-12th Grade)
Join us on Wednesdays, 6:30-8:00pm for an evening of games, worship, prayer, and Bible study. Youth Group begins at 6:30 with some games and then sings and prays together. Afterwards they break into two groups—Middle School (7th-8th grade) and High School (9th-12th grade).
We enjoy getting together and have fun wherever we meet--whether it's helping someone out in the church or just hanging out. Last year our activities included local concerts, swimming at the lake, holiday parties, and cook-outs. We also served in local ministries such as Friendship House and Blue Ridge Women's Center.
