Moment of Silence - Pray silently, remember that you are in the presence of God and humble yourself before him.
Opening Reading: Psalm 90
Prayer of Praise
Some suggestions for a prayer of praise:
- We praise you because you do not change, no matter what happens in the world
- We thank you for making yourself our dwelling place, a refuge for us in trouble, our home; no matter where we are or what happens, we have you
- We thank you for providing for us day by day, our food, our health, our help
- We praise you because from everlasting to everlasting, you are God
Song 1: Our God our Help in Ages Past, #30 (lyrics and song resources below)
Reading: Ephesians 5:15-21 (read in preparation for confession)
Prayer of Confession
Some suggestions for a prayer of confession:
- As we consider our days and the use of our time we confess our poor stewardship; too much time and attention given to entertainment, to self-indulgence, to worry. Forgive us.
- We have been foolish and acted as if we do not know your will; neglected your word, prayer, care for one another. Forgive us.
- We have been anxious, not trusting you as we ought. Like Israel grumbling in the wilderness, we have worried, “What will we do?” Forgive us.
Assurance of Pardon: Ephesians 1:7 (remember that the gospel is true and that God loves to save sinners)
Song 2: There is a Fountain Filled With Blood, #253 (lyrics and song resources below)
Song 3: Jesus Thank You (lyrics and song resources below)

Some suggestions for a prayer of intercession
- Ask God to have mercy on those who are weak and suffering
- Ask God to have mercy on our brothers and sisters overseas
- Ask God to bless his people throughout our valley as they worship today
- Ask God to sustain our church through this trial
- Ask God to help us to hear his voice in his word
Video Devotional (or read Mark 4:1-20)

Song 1: Our God our Help in Ages Past, #30
Sheet music: https://hymnary.org/text/our_god_our_help_in_ages_past_watts
Video with lyrics: https://youtu.be/jOewYw3ejkM
Our God, our help in ages past, our hope for years to come,
our shelter from the stormy blast, and our eternal home:
Under the shadow of your throne your saints have dwelt secure;
sufficient is your arm alone, and our defense is sure.
Before the hills in order stood, or earth received her frame,
from everlasting you are God, to endless years the same.
A thousand ages in your sight are like an evening gone;
short as the watch that ends the night before the rising sun.
The busy tribes of flesh and blood, with all their lives and cares,
are carried downward by your flood, and lost in foll'wing years.
Time, like an ever-rolling stream, bears all its sons away;
they fly forgotten, as a dream dies at the op'ning day.
Our God, our help in ages past, our hope for years to come:
O be our guard while troubles last, and our eternal home.
Song 2: There is a Fountain Filled With Blood, #253
Sheet music: https://hymnary.org/text/there_is_a_fountain_filled_with_blood_dr
Video with lyrics: https://youtu.be/vKAMsC2jrL4
There is a fountain filled with blood
Drawn from Immanuel's veins;
And sinners, plunged beneath that flood,
Lose all their guilty stains x3
And sinners, plunged beneath that flood,
Lose all their guilty stains.
Dear dying Lamb, Thy precious blood
Shall never lose its pow'r,
Till all the ransomed Church of God
Be saved, to sin no more x3
Till all the ransomed Church of God
Be saved to sin no more.
E'er since by faith I saw the stream
Thy flowing wounds supply,
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die x3
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die.
When this poor lisping, stamm'ring tongue
Lies silent in the grave,
Then in a nobler, sweeter song
I'll sing Thy pow'r to save x3
then in a nobler, sweeter song
I'll sing Thy pow'r to save.
Song 3: Jesus Thank You
Sheet music:https://sovereigngracemusic.org/music/songs/jesus-thank-you/
Video with lyrics: https://youtu.be/D_35IPrjzq8
The mystery of the cross I cannot comprehend
The agonies of Calvary
You the perfect Holy One, crushed Your Son
Who drank the bitter cup reserved for me
CHORUS
Your blood has washed away my sin, Jesus, thank You
The Father’s wrath completely satisfied, Jesus, thank You
Once Your enemy, now seated at Your table, Jesus, thank You
By Your perfect sacrifice I’ve been brought near
Your enemy You’ve made Your friend
Pouring out the riches of Your glorious grace
Your mercy and Your kindness know no end
BRIDGE
Lover of my soul
I want to live for You
Song 4: Speak O Lord
Sheet music: https://www.gettymusic.com/speak-o-lord
Video with lyrics: https://youtu.be/4o-l7k-Xdgc
Speak, O Lord, as we come to You
To receive the food of Your Holy Word.
Take Your truth, plant it deep in us;
Shape and fashion us in Your likeness,
That the light of Christ might be seen today
In our acts of love and our deeds of faith.
Speak, O Lord, and fulfill in us
All Your purposes for Your glory.
Teach us, Lord, full obedience,
Holy reverence, true humility;
Test our thoughts and our attitudes
In the radiance of Your purity.
Cause our faith to rise; cause our eyes to see
Your majestic love and authority.
Words of pow’r that can never fail—
Let their truth prevail over unbelief.
Speak, O Lord, and renew our minds;
Help us grasp the heights of Your plans for us—
Truths unchanged from the dawn of time
That will echo down through eternity.
And by grace we’ll stand on Your promises,
And by faith we’ll walk as You walk with us.
Speak, O Lord, till Your church is built
And the earth is filled with Your glory.
** Remember that while we aren't gathering we aren't taking up offerings, but our congregation still has financial responsibilites both locally and overseas. Please continue to give online as you're able.
