Please join us for our conference this year as we will be hearing from several of our own overseas missionaries! The Macaulay family with 20 Schemes in Scotland, the Shubert family with Cru in Singapore, and Carol and Brian Arnold with ministries in Africa, will all be coming here to Grace Church!
We aim to make our Missions Conference accessible to families. Nursery for children up to three years old will be available during most of the conference. There will also be a Kids Conference available for children in preschool through fifth grade during most sessions of the conference (noted below).

Meet our Missionaries
Lewis & Susanna Macaulay
Hello! We are the Macaulay family and we are at Harestanes Baptist church near Glasgow, Scotland, where Lewis serves as pastor. Susanna is originally from Michigan, near Detroit, and Lewis is from the far northwest of Scotland, the Isle of Lewis. He started serving in ministry 9 years ago, and Susanna joined him when they got married 3 years later. They have two children, Emily, nearly 3, and Laurie, 9 months.
Brian Arnold
I grew up at Grace Church in Roanoke, VA before leaving for Wheaton College where I was involved in the missions programs on campus. My parents, Jack and Carol Arnold, began teaching Africans in the 1990s. When my mom asked me in 2016 to accompany her on a trip to Zambia and Kenya, I did not want to go. But I did go, and it transformed my faith and changed my life. The love and joy I experienced from poor Africans humbled me. I particularly ached for the many children who had no fathers, and the number of orphans whose parents died of AIDS shocked me. I saw scores of children left to roam the streets, begging for scraps of food. Upon my return, I founded Grace-Bound, a charity that supports African orphans and vulnerable children. Our Sheep4Kids® program purchases flocks of sheep for remote villages where children care for the sheep and sell the lambs at market to pay for their education. I also partnered with my employer, Hogan Lovells LLP, to start African Eyes, a program to collect eyeglasses and ship they to African leaders for distribution free-of-charge. We have shipped over 3,000 pairs of glasses to remote African regions.
Carol Arnold
I was raised in a non-churched home. Came to Christ at UCLA through ministry of Bill and Vonette Bright when they first started Campus Crusade for Christ. Married Jack Arnold and two weeks later became a seminary wife. Had 4 boys in 5 1/2 years. Married 47 years during which Jack was a church planter in California 3 years, 17 years pastor at Grace Church in Roanoke, failed at a church in NC, 3 years a PCA pastor in SC, then 11 years at a PCA church in Orlando. Loved being a Pastor's wife. Didn't always love the pastor. I was part of the PCA national women's leadership (WASC) for 6 years. Started Equipping Pastors International in 1998 and did missionary work alongside Jack teaching on marriage in 6 continents. A widow for 19 years. Continuing to teach overseas, mostly in East Africa, speaking at retreats and missions conferences. I have also written two books: The Liberation of a Resentful Wife and Devoted Wife Liberated Widow.
Keith & Jeannette Shubert
It is a long way from Roanoke to Singapore. Keith was an active member at Grace Church in the 1970s when he served at Virginia Tech with Cru, formerly Campus Crusade for Christ International. During that time Keith taught Bible courses at Roanoke Institute of Biblical Studies (RIBS), a ministry of Grace Church. Since leaving Roanoke, Keith has taught Bible courses in over 30 countries on 6 continents.
Keith and his wife, Jeannette, currently live in Singapore and teach at East Asia School of Theology. They teach and mentor students from across Asia. In addition, they travel and teach in various parts of Asia. Many of those they teach are first-generation Christ-followers who want to learn about the Bible so they can teach others.
The partnership with Keith and Jeannette extends Grace Church's reach by providing biblical and theological training for men and women in some of the least-reached areas of the world. Those they train serve as laborers in God's harvest fields.
